It has been said that “every so often, an artist emerges that reminds us what anointing sounds like through their gift of song."  Melissa Oliver is truly one of those artists whose voice resonates in your heart once you hear her sing.

Like most true singers, Melissa Oliver started singing at an early age. She was rooted in her home church in Apex, North Carolina where she was planted in the choir and continued to grow spiritually and vocally; singing in local christian groups and various choirs. Upon graduation from High School, Melissa Oliver attended North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University (NC A&T), obtaining a Bachelor of Arts in Music. Her love of music didn’t stop after college. She continued to lead praise and worship, sing and write music. Melissa ultimately followed her passion to teach music when she began her teaching career at Monroeton Elementary School in Reidsville, NC. She would later relocate and teach in Annapolis, Maryland for 6 years at Mills Parole Elementary. Melissa and her husband (Will) have since returned to North Carolina, where she continued to teach music at Creech Road Elementary. That wasn't the end! Pressing toward another life goal Melissa was named Assistant Principal of Alston Ridge Elementary School. Being a Wife, Mother, & Principal is tough but Melissa still finds time for her love of singing!                                         

Talk about anointed. Only God can touch someone’s life in this manner to allow them to put forth unending energy to create worship music the way Melissa does. She is a true worshiper that desires to please God by expressing who God is through song.  Her vision is to inspire the hearts of her listeners, invoking them to develop a relationship with Christ, regardless of their present situation.  Melissa's genuine love and true worship of God emanates through her music.  

Her project “Life And Worship” is an inspiring collection of Praise and Worship music that resounds God’s word, while ministering to those who desire to know Christ.  Listeners will find music ranging from an anthem of worship, "“Jehovah”" to the children’s story favorite, "“Keep the Faith”" featuring her then four year old son, Ethan.

A true testament to her faith, the release of “Life and Worship” is truly a culmination of Melissa Oliver’s hard work and dedication, created to attract and engage listeners from all backgrounds and walks of life. Her music will provide a life changing message that is appropriate for all circumstances in this ever changing world.
